FELONS WITH A FUTURE

Moving forward

As I come to another day, I’m able to look back and see things coming together for the organization. After a meeting with some people from Dayton Collaboratory yesterday, I was introduced to some people that are willing to partner up with us. I received my certificate of business from the Secretary of State today so I’m looking forward to opening up the bank account tomorrow. Next on the next will be filing for our 501 c. We are also looking to starting a Podcast to help gain attention to our cause. I also found out that Montgomery County is looking to adding linking the people they serve with the SBA. That was one of the things I talked about on my campaign, revamping the re-entry program to do that. So the seed was planted and I’m glad I was able to plant the seed for a change. Let’s just hope that some of the other ideas I had as bullet points to help ex-offenders end up happening. Like ending the discrimination of where and who we can rent from after we’ve paid our debt to society for one. We are not second class citizens so we will keep advocating to stop being treated like one. Look for a Zoom Q&A meeting soon and more information about the Podcast. If you have a title name you’d like to submit for our Podcast please email us with that. Also if you know an ex-offender that has come home and changed their lives and their story should be heard, submit their name also. We need to let the public know their are success stories out their that go untold. That’s a way to erase the stigma.
